I was happy at first....we will see.First off, yes the generator is new, but it is actually 5 years old. The Date of Manufacture is 2005. I received the generator with the packaging damaged and the control panel rear cover broke, no problem, nothing was damaged other than a shattered cover. I called the California office and they said they would send me a new rear cover out, a month later and still no cover. Hour meter quit after 9.4 hours and the capacitor started to warp, not putting out full voltage. I called the shop in Ohio and they said they would send me out the parts so I could replace it myself. I am a truck driver and I was using the generator to power my block heater and a space heater inside my cab. I also had two fans plugged into the generator to make sure it stayed cool since I had mounted the generator inside a box (5'x8'x9') behind my cab. Well the generator had been running great. Having trouble now
I purchased this generator after looking for an affordable diesel generator. I ordered it on Monday, had it by Friday in Montana. Was disapointed with how loud it was, but so far it has been working just fine. I like the idea that it has a 1 year warrenty. Got online at etq web site, you put in your zip code, and it will come up with a service center near you. This is one of the reasons we purchased this item. It has a national sevice plan. I have had this now for 6mo. It is having some issues. Fuel is leaking, hour meter quit working after 10 hrs, and it smokes really bad. I know that diesels tend to smoke, but this wont clear up once warmed up. This unit is used on a daily basis. Taking into service center near me for warranty work. We'll see what happens with that.

received dg4le diesel generator filled it up with oil put fuel in read all instructions tried cranking it for two hours. I finally got it to crank ran 30 seconds slowley died waited 10 min. cranked it ran 30 seconds never would come up to full speed with breaker on or off slowley died again tried to find 800 no for teck support couldn't find one. When it did crank it was loud for a generator bought to use camping. Can not ship it back to amazon now trying to find authorized dealer.
