I was happy at first....we will see.
First off, yes the generator is new, but it is actually 5 years old. The Date of Manufacture is 2005. I received the generator with the packaging damaged and the control panel rear cover broke, no problem, nothing was damaged other than a shattered cover. I called the California office and they said they would send me a new rear cover out, a month later and still no cover. Hour meter quit after 9.4 hours and the capacitor started to warp, not putting out full voltage. I called the shop in Ohio and they said they would send me out the parts so I could replace it myself. I am a truck driver and I was using the generator to power my block heater and a space heater inside my cab. I also had two fans plugged into the generator to make sure it stayed cool since I had mounted the generator inside a box (5'x8'x9') behind my cab. Well the generator had been running great. It was using a descent amount of oil, but that actually started to taper off to just a few ounces every 6...

Having trouble now
I purchased this generator after looking for an affordable diesel generator. I ordered it on Monday, had it by Friday in Montana. Was disapointed with how loud it was, but so far it has been working just fine. I like the idea that it has a 1 year warrenty. Got online at etq web site, you put in your zip code, and it will come up with a service center near you. This is one of the reasons we purchased this item. It has a national sevice plan. I have had this now for 6mo. It is having some issues. Fuel is leaking, hour meter quit working after 10 hrs, and it smokes really bad. I know that diesels tend to smoke, but this wont clear up once warmed up. This unit is used on a daily basis. Taking into service center near me for warranty work. We'll see what happens with that.

received dg4le diesel generator filled it up with oil put fuel in read all instructions tried cranking it for two hours. I finally got it to crank ran 30 seconds slowley died waited 10 min. cranked it ran 30 seconds never would come up to full speed with breaker on or off slowley died again tried to find 800 no for teck support couldn't find one. When it did crank it was loud for a generator bought to use camping. Can not ship it back to amazon now trying to find authorized dealer.

The power and reliability of a diesel unit. All in a quiet clean package. Amazing how much this generator can run while using almost no fuel. much cheaper to run than any gas unit. when my friends saw mine, they ordered one for themselves. A best buy, and recommended for anyone who wants the best bang for the buck.

Bad Customer Service
I was very excited to get this Generator for my Cabin. Started out great then at exactly 20 hours the engine blew. Talking with the Vendor has been difficult, no resolution as yet. Could be stuck with a piece of junk. Read their limited warranty closely, appears there really isn't one.

All Power 6500W Generator seems excellent value!
I wasn't sure what I would get with a price that seemed too low to believe, but figured I would take a chance. I needed to find an alternative to my small gasoline powered generator which is now over ten years old with minimal usage. Gas is such a pain, as I stock up for hurricanes and end up dumping it back through my cars to get rid of it before it goes bad; diesel is very stable with some additives, much safer to store a dozen-or-so gallons long term, and provides more energy per gallon. I had never heard of All Power before, but it seems they make a variety of products--hopefully an "up and coming" that will be around for a long time if they can establish a rep as a company with quality and service which it appears they are trying to do. So far, I am extremely happy with what I have gotten for my money. Shipping was a breeze and they placed it right where my wife told them inside my garage until I got home. No instructions for basic construction of adding wheels...

Ramsond Elite 6.5kw Diesel Generator
I did extensive research on this generator because I use one regularly, not just for backup power. I am highly disappointed in it because I made numerous calls to Ramsond's tech support before I decided to buy and everything they told me has turned out to be incorrect. The main issue is that this is a 3600 rpm diesel and I was told, on two separate occasions, that it was a low rpm 2200 genset. I know from research (and experience) that 3600 rpm air cooled diesels have a very low lifespan (injector and fuel pump failure at around 1000-1500 hours if you are lucky). Ramsond now acknowledges the very low life span but denies telling me it was a 2200 rpm unit and says that in fact there is no such thing, that generators must be either 1800 or 3600 rpm to function at 60hz which I know to be incorrect. Ramsond's website also hypes the battery as a superior 24 volt 36 amp Sail brand battery in all Elite series generators and the unit arrived equipped by an ordinary 12 volt battery...

Made in China. The first 2 reviews were misleading. It seems as if it was planted to give the product 5 stars and make the item more "saleable". I can NOT recommend this product. The only thing I see that is made in the US is the battery. My justification for paying more for this generator was that it was made in the USA. There's a lot of similar generators in the market that are priced much less than this one( durostar, duromax, aurora etc..). Costco have a gasoline generator priced less than 1/2 ( chinese made also). By the way, I just received my second unit from Ramsond. The first one was defective. It didn't last more than 10 hours of runtime. It kept on fluctuating so heavily that I had to remove my test load so as not to damage it. After a few emails and phone calls, they replaced the unit. Again, as much as I had good experience with Ramsond's customer service, I could not recommend this product.
good generator
Good generator with durable decent parts. We have it for about a year living in Florida, not a problem ever. I would recommend changing oil to Mobile Delvac 1300 Super SAE 15W-40 Nascar synthetic after just first few hours, and be certain you run it twice a month in so called "train" mode, which means 30 minutes run with the load of about 2k watts, or something like deep fryer load. We sometimes do the laundry on it for that purpose just for fun - figure if I run it in train mode, let it earn its keep and power washing machine plus the fryer when do breaded chicken legs. Starting battery will run down if connected all the time because of radio receiver starter, so take one clamp off if not in use. This is not a problem if you simply take care of things and use your head. The unit is very, very heavy. This means about 400 lbs, but it can be moved by a child because of ball bearings supported HD rubber wheels. No big deal. Your choices in generators are simple: petrol run disposables...

Wemindji and Chisasibi lost power at 9 a.m. Monday. Chisasibi has a population of about 4,000, with Wemindji at 1,200. The Cree communities are close to the eastern shore of James Bay, about 260 kilometres apart.
Both communities are powered by one grid, which is connected to the La Grande dam nearby.
Wemindji Chief Rodney Mark said his community is keeping tabs on the power situation thanks to the local cellphone company which kept its tower operating.
