Regarding the WG700 Gudcraft Wind Turbin (DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT)A few weeks ago my husband and I purchased the WG700 GUDCRAFT GENERATOR WITH THE ELECTRIC BRAKE AND THEIR MORE EXPENSIVE CONTROLLER THE CD 2.5. (There is not an ID# such as a Serial number or Model# or markings of any kind on this Black Box. We don't know if this is the controller that we ordered and paid extra for or not. It is just a black box with no identification of any kind.NOW, BACK TO THE BIG PROBLEM! WE NEVER DID GET ENOUGH ELECTRICITY TO EVEN KEEP TWO BATTERIES CHARGED IN 15 TO 20 MILE AN HOUR WINDS. WE LIVE IN THE SAN LUIS VALLEY IN COLORADO AND WE HAVE A NICE SUPPLY OF WIND. TODAY WE HAD SOME WIND GUST UP TO 20 TO 30 MILES/HR. WHICH ANY WIND GENERATOR SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE. THE ELECTRIC BRAKE DIDN'T DO WHAT THEY SAID IT WOULD DO. IF THE 20 TO 30 MILE/HR. WIND IS TOO MUCH FOR THIS PRODUCT, WHY DIDN'T THE BRAKE SHUT IT DOWN? Expensive Ornament TOTAL Garbage
I bought the wind turbine and the GudCrap controller, had to wait 4 weeks before I got any wind to test it and after two days of heavy wind it did not charge my batteries at all. I ordered a repplacement and GudCrap did't even make it with the same wiring conection order. UL Labs would have a field day with this garbage, customer service is no existant, not even a webb page for trouble shooting. This thing is supposed to deliver up to 700 watts but the wiring is way too small to carry the amperage that the idiots claim it delivers. This product is a fraud and Amazon should be ashamed that they evenn sell this crap. The tail fin is also too small and has trouble pointing into the wind. The 1st controller had 3, 15 ampppbillion outputs so you cannot even connneect a little 400 watt inverter. This wind turbine is totally Garbage. I am going to return this piece of trash ad try to find a tested and working generator.
DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT
GudCraft has no idea about the products they sell. This came with a 7.5 controller, which wasn't listed as being part of the package, so I purchased a 2.5 controller extra. Neither controller allows for more than 11.7 volts charge on the batteries. The turbine has gone through several consequitive days of wind in excess of 20mph, and between that and the controllers, I can get about 1/2 hour of operation out of my storage batteries due to the low charge voltage. The 2.5 controller has settings inside, but GudCraft has no clue what they're for, and I've been on them for weeks to get a manual for it. I would not do business with GudCraft again. They don't understand English most of the time (or at least when you have a problem) and as I said - they don't have any idea about the products they sell. They just grab the money and run.
